Archbishop Roberto Gonzalez Nieves

Dear Friends,

Just minutes ago, the Archbishop of San Juan, Puerto Rico urged Congress to act on legislation that can help end the island's growing humanitarian crisis. Published in The Hill, the most read news outlet by Washington's political leaders, the religious leader calls us all to action.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on Puerto Rico debt crisis legislation in the next 48 hours.

Read in The Hill why Archbishop González ‎urges Congress to pass this legislation and encourages his people to address Puerto Rico's "colonial" status.

We are honored to work with Archbishop Roberto González Nieves, OFM and a coalition of religious leaders who are trying to resolve a financial crisis on an island where 56% of kids live in poverty.

In the next 48 hours, we need your prayers, and we'll need your help to support our partners in Puerto Rico. Please stay tuned as we invite your further actions to win in Congress.
