Eric LeCompte

For more than 25 years, Eric LeCompte has led religious groups to win policies that alleviate poverty, address global conflict and promote human rights.‎ He is the Executive Director of Jubilee USA Network, a development coalition of more than 750 religious groups and organizations. 

LeCompte addressed the United Nations General Assembly on needed economic and climate policies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in 2019. In 2016, his Congressional testimony on Puerto Rico would become part of the basis for debt ‎crisis legislation that Congress passed. In the same year, he testified to Puerto Rico's oversight board on a road map to resolve the island's crisis while protecting vulnerable populations. LeCompte advised a United Nations General Assembly process on global sovereign bankruptcy structures to alleviate poverty. He is a member of expert working groups to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner. Aldo Caliari 

Senior Director of Policy and Strategy Aldo Caliari served as the Senior Advisor at the Intergovernmental Group of 24 on International Monetary Affairs and Development (G-24) from 2017 to 2020. Previously he directed the Rethinking Bretton Woods Project at the Washington DC-based Center of Concern, from 2002 to 2017. Throughout his career, he conducted policy research and advocacy on a broad range of macroeconomic and sustainable development finance issues such as debt, tax, private finance and investment, international financial architecture, financial regulation and trade. Caliari presented, organized and facilitated seminars in more than fifty countries for government officials, academics, civil society and the private sector. His writings are published in books, academic journals and the media, including five books on linkages between trade, finance and global liquidity.

Caliari pursued Master’s level economic and finance studies at George Washington University (2007) and legal studies at the Washington College of Law, American University (2000), where he was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award. He earned his first degree in Argentina, at the Universidad Nacional de Tucuman.

 

Damon Silvers

Damon Silvers is Special Counsel and Senior Adviser at Jubilee USA Network. Previously he served as the AFL-CIO Senior Strategic Advisor and Special Counsel to the President. He joined that organization as Associate General Counsel in 1997. Silvers is a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose at University College, London. He received his Juris Doctor with honors from Harvard Law School. Silvers received his Master of Business Administration with high honors from Harvard Business School and is a Baker scholar. He is a graduate of Harvard College, summa cum laude, and has studied history at King’s College, Cambridge University. 

 

Anjoulie Woodhead

Anjoulie serves as the Communications and Outreach Director at Jubilee USA Network, in this role she manages our associates program, develops key partnerships, and helps coordinate strategic outreach to faith-based communities. Anjoulie holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University with a macro-level specialization. Anjoulie brings years of research and development knowledge to this role, as she was a research assistant and associate in a 10-year research study with NYU in Del Carmen, Philippines. For the duration of her role with NYU in the Philippines, Anjoulie helped develop policy recommendations to the Mayor of Siargao Del Norte on hygiene and post-disaster/pandemic recovery. Anjoulie's research and communications work also spanned from the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, to the New York City Council in Ydanis Rodriguez's office.
